When I had the opportunity to review Atlas C-1, I immediately thought of my own headstock break saga. I had purchased a guitar with a broken headstock, had it repaired, but my negligence caused it to break again. Having a C-1 would have helped with the repair and kept it from breaking again. More than that, I’m now way more confident traveling with that guitar with the C-1 in place! Great concept and solid piece of gear.

repairs in the past 40 years. I will now bring [the Atlas-C1] with me when I go
to collect vintage Les Pauls because I’m pretty sure that with this piece
installed, the very fragile headstock area is protected and reinforced in a
manner that causes no damage. Expertly crafted from stainless steel, padded in
all the right places… it is a very well-designed and manufactured piece. It was very easy to adjust to my 1952 Les Paul. I will go on record as recommending that anybody that has a classic Les Paul or other Gibson guitar that is regularly transported by means outside of your control, I would recommend purchasing these as easy insurance.
