How Does It Work?
Stringed instrument designs with headstock pitched break angles are subject to high pressure and constant forward directional force right at the vulnerable headstock/neck region when tuned to pitch, typically 440Hz, and a pressure of 135 lbs. give or take a few pounds lbs. creating a condition known as "loading" . This pressure is focused directly on the weakest point of the neck and why they break in a forward trajectory. To put this into perspective, imagine picking up, simultaneously two 60-pound sacks of concrete and a bag of sand as a topper! This is the equivalent of the force your guitar is constantly enduring .
