Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any retail locations?

Of course! The Atlas-C1 is available at Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, Music & Arts Centers, and several smaller retail merchants.

Can the Atlas-C1 be modified?

Absolutely. The Atlas-C1 will arrive with a thick 7mm leather pad fretboard protective foot. The leather pad thickness can be reduced in size by up to 3.5mm and still offer superior protection. Additionally, the Atlas-C1 is a universal design that fits many 3-on-3 headstock designs, but occasionally some guitars are designed with unusual neck/headstock junctions — in those cases, the Atlas-C1's bottom receiver section can be slightly bent in a vise for a more custom accommodating fit.

What is the warranty offered on the Atlas-C1?

The Atlas-C1 comes with an unconditional lifetime warranty.

Will the Atlas-C1 fit in my case while on my guitar?

The Atlas-C1 was designed with custom folding thumb screws to assist with case fitment, but some much older cases were very tightly designed and may not properly accommodate those designs.

Will the Atlas-C1 affect the finish on my guitar's neck?

No. The Atlas-C1 is lined with a soft industrial grade felt material that ensures the tool never makes direct metal contact with the neck or headstock of the instrument.

Is the Atlas-C1 recommended for all modes of transportation while traveling with my guitar?

Yes, it is highly recommended to offer additional protection from accidents and mishandling.

How does the Atlas-C1 offer superior protection?

The Atlas-C1 protects against the damaging forces of kinetic energy and inertia when a guitar is dropped. Guitar cases alone cannot protect a guitar against those two headstock snapping forces.

Do you offer combined shipping?

Yes, we offer combined shipping.

Proper Alignment

Proper Alignment and Positioning recommendation:

It's super fast and easy to attach the Atlas-C1 to any instrument. Recommendation: Depending on the tuning machine layout of a particular instrument , position the Atlas receiver as close as practical to the bottom two (E) string tuning machines , this will provide a wider range of protection by supporting a larger area of the vulnerable headstock neck junction.

Protective Leather Fret Pad

The Torque Cap: 7mm - 9/32" Thick Leather Fret Pad

The ultra thick 7mm protective leather fret pad is surrounded on three sides by raised mounting edges and secured with industrial adhesive, ensuring that even after many years of use, the pad will maintain its shape, not fan out, and remain solidly in place. If needed the 7mm Leather pad can easily be cut and reduced in size for a more customized fit.
